What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted.
We only ask for what we need, we never sell it, and we'll tell you exactly why we ask.
If you register your interest, we store the following and nothing else.
| Your email address | Required. It is how we tell you when your registration is approved, and it is the address you sign in to DOOR with. |
|---|---|
| A name, if you give one | Optional. It is only used to address you. Leave it blank and DOOR uses the first part of your email address instead. |
| Your state, if you give one | Optional. It is used for one thing: showing you competitions you are actually eligible to enter, because many Australian competitions are limited to particular states. |
| That you are 18 or over, and when you told us | Required. You tick a box to confirm you are 18 or over, and we record the time you ticked it. DOOR is for adults, and some competitions involve alcohol or adult content. |
| The date you registered, and that you came from this website | So we know how long we have held your details, and can tell you. |
| The people you live with, if you link them in DOOR | Optional, and only once you are using DOOR. We record which DOOR members have agreed to be linked as one household, and each request to link. Nobody is linked unless they accept. The email addresses you type to ask someone are never stored — only a count of how many you typed that day, so the limit of 10 a day works. |
| Whether your registration was approved | A person reviews every registration. We record their decision, when they made it, which of our team made it, and a one-line reason. |
There is no analytics on this website and no third-party script of any kind. Nothing on these pages reports your visit to anyone.
We record your email address, and a person reviews your registration. Once you're approved, we email you, and you can sign in to DOOR with your email address.
Each time you sign in, DOOR emails you a sign-in code that you type in yourself. That is how we know the inbox is yours. A code works once and expires within about an hour.
Nobody. We do not sell, rent, share or trade your details, and we do not pass them to the brands or promoters whose competitions we list. Registering with Worth Entering does not enter you into anything and does not tell any promoter who you are.
Your details sit in a database that no public visitor can read, write to or delete from. The only things that can touch them are the registration form itself and the Worth Entering team who review registrations.
Email privacy@worthentering.com from the address you registered with, and ask. You do not have to give a reason and you will not be asked for one. We will delete the record and confirm that we have done so.
You can also ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at the same address.
If we ever collect something new, this page changes before we collect it, not afterwards.
